Strata, the University of Ottawa Graduate Students’ History Review
Strata, University of Ottawa Graduate Student History Review, an initiative managed by graduate students in history at the University of Ottawa, is a bilingual and peer-reviewed graduate student journal. It provides a forum for open debate among graduate-level historians, and fosters the development of professional skills through the publishing process. Strata encourages historical discussions and debates on a variety of historical topics in both of Canada’s official languages.
Strata invites article submissions for our upcoming issue. Book reviews for works published in the past three years (2015–2018) are also accepted. Submissions on all historical topics and all periods are welcome as long as the methodological and conceptual approaches are clearly articulated. Through the diversity of approaches and thematics, we hope to shed light on the dynamism of the current historical research in Canada.
All submissions to Strata must be original, unpublished scholarly works authored by students at the MA or PhD level. Submissions are anonymously evaluated by our Scientific Committee before being sent to our Editorial Board for revisions.
Authors are invited to consult tour website (http://strata.aedhgsa.ca/en/) to learn more about the format and presentation guidelines. Authors are asked to send their submissions by email to firstname.lastname@example.org along with an abstract (maximum 125 words) and a short biography (maximum 60 words). An email confirming receipt of your submission will be sent within a week.
The submission deadline for the upcoming issue (Summer 2018) is on Monday, May 21, 2018.
